Our Story

She Rises

She Rises was not born in a boardroom or a brainstorming session. It was born in a season of silence.

In the space of two months I lost my job, lost my father and walked away from an abusive marriage. I was far from home, in Europe, with no immediate family around me. Just God, my daughter and a handful of friends who refused to let me stay down.

I remember the numbness. Not sadness, not anger. Just empty. Like someone had quietly switched off every feeling inside me and forgotten to turn them back on.

What brought me back was not one big moment. It was small daily things. A scripture in the morning. A friend's voice telling me I was going to be okay. The decision to study again even when I did not feel ready. Showing up one day at a time even when showing up felt impossible.

I rebuilt my life from scratch. I studied. I kept going.

But the journey was not a straight line.

Two years after the divorce my ex husband returned to social media to publicly insult and humiliate me and my family. Just when I thought I was moving forward the weight came crashing back again. I felt lost all over again.

I had studied DevOps. I was building. I was teaching myself. I thought surely a job would come. Surely things would change. But the bills kept piling up and the rejections from job applications kept coming. The frustration became something I can only describe as a quiet desperation.

So I made a decision. If no one would hire me I would build for myself. I became a founder. I started building solutions from scratch, teaching myself, pushing through every single day. And amazingly the things I started building were not just good. They were solutions people actually needed.

I did not give up. But some days giving up felt very close.

The only prayer I had left was simple. God help me. I cry to you as a child cries to a father. Just help me.

And then at my lowest moment when I was closest to giving up someone reached out with a contract that changed everything. Not because the money solved everything. But because it reminded me that God had not forgotten me. That showing up every single day even when nothing seemed to be working was not wasted. That the darkest moment really can come just before the breakthrough.

She Rises is everything I wished I had through every single one of those seasons. A daily word that meets you exactly where you are. An affirmation to carry through the day. A safe space to journal your pain and your progress. A community of women who understand because they have been there too.

You do not have to be strong today. You only have to show up.

She rises. And so will you.
